This weeks News and Events
Thank you for your support in coming forward to help us. We now have a much healthier number of volunteers to help in the shop. However, there is still a need for one or two further helpers. Remember that we are entirely self-supporting! Please contact either Brian or Diane Elliott in church after the service in Nerja.
The Chaplaincy wants to organize a group of hospital visitors. The group will undertake visits to English speaking patients in local hospitals when the need arises. If you are interested please contact either the Wardens or the Chaplain.
|CHAPLAIN’S ANNUAL HOLIDAYThe chaplain will be away from the 13th Nov. to the 6th Dec. in Uruguay and Argentina. Fr Barry Dryden will be the locum priest while he is away and will be answering all e-mails and calls made to the church mobile number as usual. Barry has lived in Spain previously and has recently done a couple of locum stints in St George’s, Madrid.
ADVENT STUDY COURSE
We shall be organizing an Advent Study Course this year. As with the Lent Course, it will take place at the Al Andalus Hotel next to Las Cuevas de Nerja.
The course will last for 5 weeks and we shall be meeting every Tuesday. The first session begins on Tuesday, 21st of November, and the last one will be on Tuesday, 19th December. We ask you to arrive at 10.30am for a prompt 11am start. Each session will last approximately one hour.
We shall be using the second of the new Pilgrim booklets centred on the Lord’s Prayer. Please let the Chaplain know if you wish to attend.
THOMAS CRANMER’S COLLECT FOR THE 23rd SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY
God, our refuge and strength, which art the author of all godliness, be ready to hear the devout prayers of thy church; and grant that those things which we ask faithfully we may obtain effectually; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
